100 Boko Haram Insurgents Killed, and 7 Soldiers Wounded

 

A statement released early today by the Nigerian army spokesperson, Usman Sanni, revealed that the Nigerian army killed over 100 boko haram insurgents early Wednesday morning, after making an attempt to attack a 120 Task Force Batallion troops in Yobe state. Usman said that during the attack, the terrorists killed 7 soldiers and left 9 others wounded.

 “Our troops have recovered sizeable arms, ammunition and other equipment from the terrorists. These include 1 General Purpose Machine Gun, 2 Rocket Propelled Grenades, 9 AK-47 rifles and belted rounds of 7.62 (NATO) ammunitions. Others were various wires used for Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), 7 Primed IEDs, different types of Spanners and a Torch Light,” Mr. Usman revealed.
