Two foolish thieves tried to sell a stolen dog to its original owner. The police arrested the duo when the owners of the bulldog named Gunny, saw it listed for sale on Craigslist last week for $2,500.

According to Authorities in Southern California, the bulldog was stolen during a robbery on Oct. 17.

When the owners saw the dog listed on Craigslist for $2,500, they immediately contacted the San Bernardino County Sheriff department and told him about the discovery.

Investigators then urged the original owners to play along. The owners posed as prospective buyers and arranged for a meeting with the suspects in a Fontana parking lot.

The foolish thieves came with the stolen dog where deputies arrested them.

According to the Sheriff, the two thieves, 21-year-old Jamill Slaughter and 19-year-old Carla Martinez could face charges including possession of stolen property.
