INSPIRED TODAY: A Lesson From Candy Crush

I am not a fan of candy crush, but after I lost all my files to virus, I had to get other games on my phone. Candy crush was one of those I transferred from my sister. So I began to play, late one night, I started from level 1 and proceeded to level 8. It was easy. At level eight, I couldn’t eliminate all the jelly with the limited number of moves I was given, so a window came out and asked for me to get more moves—with money of course, from their online shop. On the window was another button that said ‘give up’. I wasn’t ready to pay for moves so i clicked on the button ‘give up’ immediately I did that, a message came up immediately that said ‘level failed you did not reach the goal’
Then it dawned on me, that you don’t really fail until you have given up. It is not over until it is—which
depends on you. You cannot win if you quit,—winners don’t quit. If you didn’t achieve your goal, it only means you have found another way how not to do it. Edison made 10,000 attempts to make a light bulb. Dyson made 5,126 attempts to make a bagless vacuum cleaner. Abraham Lincoln kept aiming higher until he became the President of the United States.
Keep at whatever you find yourself doing until you finally get it right. Find other ways to do it. Only a mad man does the same thing over and again and expects a different result. No great success was ever achieved without failure, so don’t give up. Richard Yates went on to say “If you don’t try at anything you can’t fail.” Jack Canfield said “Everything you want to achieve is on the other side of fear.” It is fear that keeps you from trying again. It is the virus that paralyses your senses and abilities. It is a menace that should be totally eradicated for stand and keep standing.
Don’t give up. Failure should be a teacher not an undertaker. It is delay not defeat. It is a temporary detour, not a dead end. What have you laid your hands on and given up on? Pick it up from where you left and see it through. What do you think is too far for you to reach? There’s always a way. A leader always finds a way to win and if you must lead your own life, you have to find a way to constantly win. Remember, it isn’t over until you say it is.
