It was a breaking news yesterday
that the speaker of the House of Representative, Mallam Aminu Tanbuwai defected
from the ruling party to APC .
The speaker whose defection
has been a speculation for weeks finally announced his crossover at the rally
of his fellow colleague yesterday in Sokoto.
He said he was only bowing
to pressure from his people to defect to the APC and also on the ground that some
development in the sokoto chapter of the PDP was unwelcoming …..i.

The leadership of PDP after receiving
the shocking news wants the speaker to resign from his position, but
unfortunately the speaker can only be impeached by two-third members of PDP.
PDP current has less than two-third and they don’t have the constitutional
right to remove the speaker from his current position.
