When this photo by Reddit first hit the social media a lot of people thought differently but comments from mothers and medical professionals explained it better and why it was necessary for babies to be squeezed into this tube to prevent radiation during X-rays
The contraption in the image is reportedly called a Pigg-O-Stat. And although you can't see it in the picture, the tot's legs are actually hanging quite comfortably.Can we just say how impressed we are that this baby is chillin' and NOT screaming bloody murder, because we certainly would be!
Commenters had different reactions to the instrument. One person wrote, "It might look hilarious, but it's a d--n life saver...I use one every time I do a chest X-ray on a baby," while another said, "This thing is awful. My daughter needed an X-ray when she was five months, and she screamed the whole time."
