A recently married Pakistan woman Takeem Bibi, died after her in laws forced to her to drink acid, for bringing what they considered to be an insufficient dowry. The crime happened on monday. police officials reported that the 25 year old deceased bride got married on the 4th of September.
She was taken to the hospital where she died due to intestinal injuries cause by the acid consumption. The police reported that they are still trying to track down Bibi's husband in connection to the crime.
The killing of women due to the same reason is common in pakistan. Last week a 26 year old woman, was poisoned to death in the same region, for not bringing enough dowry.
