President Goodluck Jonathan Accept to Run for 2015 Presidential Election..

President Goodluck Jonathan has formally accepted to run for the next presidential election under the platform of the ruling party PDP. he made known his intention during a closed door meeting with the party leaders in the villa on Thursday.

Mr. President who is yet to formally declare his intention to run for a re-election was given a one week ultimatum to declare his intention and accept the party offer has their sole candidate for the 2015 presidential election.

A reliable Presidency source, who pleaded anonymity, told journalists that president Jonathan has accepted the offer to seek re-election as President.

The source said, “President Jonathan today (Thursday) met with the leadership of the PDP and party leaders from the various zones of the country. He thanked them for giving him the right of first refusal as far as the party’s presidential ticket was concerned.

“The President told them that he had accepted their offer and he was interested in the presidential race.

“He told them that he will come and pick up his nomination form before the deadline stipulated by the party.”

The deadline stated by the party is 30^th October, 2014.
