'TEARS OF THE RICH " [ continuation]

"Jesus" Emeka shouted as he tries to raise her mum up but could not . 'help, help , help '. he called as people that were down stairs had to rush to the sitting room upstairs to know what was happening . "what happened' Anna asked holding Mercy but emeka who was confused could not altar a word as he was still thinking of what had happened . 'she picked a call and she shouted on top of her voice and the next thing i had was someone that slumped on the ground and collapsed ' emeka said with tears flowing out of his eyes. Clara rushed to the phone on the ground to check the phone number that called her but to the dismay of everybody , it was a hidden number . "lets rush her to the hospital " Peter said . Peter was their neighborhood friend and johnson's business partner and a good friend of late Johnson. Like Johnson, peter had lived in the street for years.
    Anna and Clara who was late Johnson's maid servants , which had lived for years with them carried Mercy to the car and peter drove off to the hospital with emeka and Anna inside the car .
   " Clara have you people informed Johnson's children about their fathers death" asked Mara who was peter's wife and a good friend of Mercy. 'yes , we have done that and Jessica her second daughter is on her way coming back' replied clara.
     Neighbors have now started gathering in late Johnson's house with some crying and some nodding there head in disbelief. Each person that comes goes at one corner of the house and stay thinking about the incidence that happened last night. 'but how did it happened because i did not hear any sound of gun shoot last night' asked okorie . 'even me too , am even shocked to hear that something like this happened ' replied ike who was also living in the neighborhood .
    Late Johnson had lived in the street for years with his four children , two girls and two boys of which three was in the university with emeka the last born writing his waec at the time. They had lived a peaceful life to the extent that late johnson had joked one day that they will go for a thanks giving service immediately that jessica and jeniffer graduates from the university but it was unfortunate that he could not live to see it.
      Back at the hospital , mercy was not responding to treatment as her body was becoming cold. "sir , i have tried my best but it seems that she would not make it as she is a patient of high blood pressure plus the heart problem that she normally face" the doctor told peter in his office shaking his head in self pity. "what do we do doctor, is there no other way " said peter as tears was flowing from his eyes ."please doctor do something , she is the only one left to carter for his late husband children who was assassinated last night " said peter begging the doctor.  Just then , a nurse rushed in "doctor , doctor the woman is dying " said the nurse as all of them rushed out of the room.
     " Emeka secure the books that are in our room at the left drawer by the left" said mercy with a low voice "the code is your daddy's favorite tv show " she continued coughing so had with bloods coming out of her mouth ."Secure also your dad's private laptop as so many documents are in it , and please my son "DO NOT TRUST ANYONE " she said . "the password of your dad's laptop is his date of birth combined with his month of birth " she concluded with a low tone. "but mum who called you on phone" emeka asked with tears flowing out of his eyes."it is ......" just then , the doctor and peter  with anna came in and mercy stopped.. The doctor began to press her chest as the cough was not too much with bloods gushing out of her mouth and emeka and anna was crying .
    "Hmm" mercy breathed, and the doctor turned back and looked at Peter ......
