Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike has dissolved the chairmen of 22 local government areas in Rivers state. In a statement released by the special adviser on media and publicity mr Opunabo Tarian, said that the dissolution is with immediate effect. The twenty two caretaker committees are to hand over to various heads of local government administrations. He also said that the statutory three months tenure for caretaker committees expires today, the 8th of October.
